The BIGGEST & MOST AMAZING ADVENTURE began to take place in October 2007, when Alex and I found out we are expecting a BABY! Babe and I concluded 2007 with a compacted tour of East Asia (China, Japan and Korea). In 2008, we cut down on big, overseas trips, and explored the natural beauties of the Bay Area. We also spent quality time at home just treasuring the moments we get to spend together before the little one pops out and occupies our lives :P For our "Baby Moon", we visited Marina, Big Sur, and Carmel, California. As for me, under the excuse of being an expectant mother, I also planned a few short excursions with my mommy to Palm Springs and Calistoga, California.

Here you go, more photos!

Count your blessings

Wow, it's been over a year since I last upated my XANGA...
I learned and grow ALOT in 2006,
First, came my new job teacher at Miller MS,
Then, came Alex and my wedding ceremony and banquet (MY GOSH)!

In 2007, babe and I went on quite a few excursions together :P
We went with my school/work to Yosemite taking a group of 8th graders :)
We checked out Cancun, Mexico for our honeymoon!
We also drove and flew to LA numerous times.
Then, over the summer, I led a group of middle school kids to Australia and had a blast without my honey, then I went immediately to Taiwan for family business, ALSO w/o my honey... (sorry!), but Alex got to attend a close friend's wedding in HAWAII without me :(

So here you go, below I've posted a series of photos... to help us count the blessings God has given us in seeing the world together/with Him :)

Blessings,
LiLy

My Birthday/Fundraising Party

Sunday, June 11, 2006 was my very own birthday party, which took place at Vino Locale (http://www.vinolocale.com) in Palo Alto. It was not just a birthday party, but also a fund-raising event in light of the recent INDONESIA EARTHQUAKE which took away thousands of lives and tons of homes. (for relief/donation info, go to: http://www.worldvision.org/Worldvision/eappeal.nsf/egift_disaster_relief?OpenForm&campaign=12151115&cmp=KNC-12151115)

It's been AGES since I had a birthday event. In fact, as far as I can remember, my last birthday party took place my senior year in HIGH SCHOOL at my house, and it was a SURPRISE PARTY hosted by KAIWEN for me!!! (THANKS KAI! You're AWESOME!) Back then, I was a basketcase of Issues, and Kai really blessed me by inviting so many friends over and making me feel that people still cared for me.

Well, for my "sweet" 17th+10, I decided it was finally time to step up and do Something to celebrate the Life GOD has given me and the Joy HE's blessed me with, especially during this past year. JANE was very kind to help me draft and send out the Evite, to prep the party favors, and to help me entertain the guests that day :) In fact, many of my closest girlfriends totally helped me out and made my guests feel welcomed. Thanks y'alls! My girlfriends are the GREATEST!!!

Alex was so cute that day with his little "artist/painter" hat on (I bought it for him and MADE him put it on that day :P) and he was also a WONDERFUL host, pouring everyone a glass of wine, and just being so supportive of me throughout. I never knew it could be Nerve-Racking to put together an event and hope that people might want to be a part... but Alex assured me that everything was going to be just great. He prayed with me and invited Jesus to be the Host & our Special Guest, and cleared out a WHOLE DAY of schedule just for this event & for me :) Thanks Hunny !

Last but not least, it really was a BLESSING to see all my friends from all over the place and from different parts of my life. My two students came with their parents, my supervisor/boss showed up as well, BLESSED was present, most of my closest girlfriends, my high school friends (they probably were all at my last surprise party :P),  fun  & cool peeps I met in college & post-college, and many GRX BUDDIES all made their way over!!! 30+ people ended up being a  part of this very special event for me, and I am SO VERY TOTALLY THANKFUL!
